Supporting the scene’s a verb, not just a vibe. I covered the Golden Poppy Holiday Show at Hotel Ziggy for US Rocker Magazine , and it was a masterclass in what the LA scene should be: intimate, high-feel, and completely void of performative posing. From Ryan Cassata’s calm authority to the swagger of Xtine and the Reckless Hearts, the night was about craft, not chaos. I left with a Golden Poppy pin for my collection because the best way to ensure these nights keep happening is to put your money on the merch table.
