As a huge fan of The Jetty Frog, a market and deli located at 199 Old Chestnut Rd, Elkton, MD 21921, I tried to capture the essence of the establishment. I chose to redesign their t-shirt illustration and logo to better reflect the community spirit. Based on customer demographic research gathered over the last year, the design incorporates playful elements that reflect the deli's fun and friendly vibe, using a bright and engaging color scheme to emphasize freshness and quality. I chose the typeface "New Spirit" to maintain familiarity for their loyal customers. The new character, lovingly named Frankie Frog, design is inspired by the diverse clientele that frequents the market—farmers, crabbers, construction workers, and fishermen—capturing their essence in a fun and relatable way. Over the past year, I've gathered insights on customer demographics, and I'm thrilled to share these designs that resonate with the local community. The positive feedback from business associates in North East and Elkton, MD, as well as my design friends in Los Angeles and Washington, has been overwhelming. This redesign aims to celebrate the values of true grit and down-to-earth cuisine that The Jetty Frog embodies.
