Main Idea & Theme
I happened to find the twins on Instagram as they happened to be good friends w/ Billie Eilish at the time. Today, I'm not so sure as both parties have gone their separate ways from what I could see on social media.
I was curious, and inquired about any time they would have to work w/ me on some possible designs. To my surprise they agreed and wanted me to create something with an Astro-Boy art style, I delivered, and as I presented the final product to them, they were blown away. They loved how the image below came out that they decided to collaborate with me, once more, and this time for a profile icon with the same art style, and a free promotion post (tagging me) on their Instagram page.
Unfortunately, as soon as I made the artwork for them, they started dodging my messages on Instagram, telling me that they never really were on the app. Although it's none of my business w/ how these boys work on social media, their statement to me about not being on as much, didn't reflect in their actions. They ghosted me a day after I sent them the artwork and had received the compliments and false promise from them. I should've taken the hint, I felt crushed as I thought I had done something to have hurt these two, but it turns out, I hadn't. They simply had no intention of paying or working with me, only taking advantage of an ignorant artist who made, according to them, "...fire 🔥 work."
I'm keeping this piece up because I'm very proud of how it turned out, whether or not they tagged me. I love the color-scheme as well as the random details, as this was the ending of my ignorance with not asking important questions with potential clients. This piece marked the beginning of a more professional approach w/ communicating with clients on social media & better choices with colors, too.
