My illustration of Xtine & The Reckless Hearts, featured alongside my article in US Rocker Magazine, captures the electrifying essence of their live performance at the Whisky a Go Go. Immersed in the raw, unfiltered energy of the band, I chose to juxtapose this vibrant scene against the sterile backdrop of corporate LA. I utilized Xerox paper remnants layered with gritty textures from printing processes, creating a striking contrast that's to symbolize punk defiance. To make this fierce band pop from the monochrome chaos, I utilized highlighters as a representation of vitality. This illustration embodies the fearless spirit of female rockers and hopefully resonates with the unapologetic heart and soul of rock 'n' roll.
