It was an honor to develop the graphic design advertisements for Virgil's Gullah Kitchen & Bar as part of this year's Black Restaurant Week. Virgil's is more than just a restaurant; it's a vibrant celebration of the rich Gullah Geechee culture and its culinary traditions, bringing authentic and soulful dishes to the community. Participating in Black Restaurant Week, a nationwide event dedicated to supporting and uplifting Black-owned businesses, felt particularly meaningful. My role was to visually capture the essence of their incredible food, and I focused on selecting powerful photographs that would best showcase the quality and artistry of their dishes.
