Originally I had made something similar of Godzilla back in 2013/2014, inspired by Lil' Jon. It was more of a small graphic and really an inside joke between me and my mom. But, when I heard this song "Godzilla" from Eminem, I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to re-use the original idea for this piece, minus the inside joke. I wanted to use thick strokes within the piece, definitely trying to play with a sense of comic-like doom when seeing the beast. I chose to animate this piece, too, mainly because I wanted to see the monster in-action when it came to presentation and movement.
