Partnering with the State of Maryland Media and Communications team, I spearheaded a comprehensive web redesign for the Maryland State Police. My directive from leadership began with a deep evaluation of the agency Careers portal. I authored an extensive 18 page user focused assessment detailing exact areas requiring modernization. This strategic audit successfully identified and resolved critical issues regarding navigational direction, structural layout, and the overall application process.
To ensure absolute visual clarity and operational empathy, I conducted in depth interviews across multiple agency levels. My qualitative research included direct interactions with senior troopers, background investigators, homicide detectives, and the Superintendent. I presented my final design concepts to the Department of Information Technology. This successful collaboration led to an official invitation to integrate my strategic designs into the finalized web templates for the new agency website.
