As Senior Motion Designer and Producer for the University of Maryland, Baltimore's CURE Scholars Program, I was commissioned to create a transformative audio-visual experience for their graduation event. In collaboration with keynote speaker Chijioke Oranye, music producer Android #23, and program leaders including Deputy Director Katharina, our mission was to forge a new symbol of identity for the students. I designed and produced 'Scoota the Cure,' a 3D raven mascot inspired by a Baltimore cultural icon, to celebrate the 'polymath' dexterity within the Black community and show the scholars the power they hold. The project was met with widespread acclaim and, in a testament to its impact, I was given the distinct honor by Chijioke Oranye of addressing the graduates at the university, sharing how their own journeys were the true inspiration behind the work.
