I created an illustration for YouTube Gaming that received official approval from Sega for use on YouTube's social channels. The brief from YouTube coordinators was to "depict a melancholy scene of Sonic with a defeated pose and sad expression on his face." The accompanying post copy read: "Being faster than light means you live in the darkness."
Typically, my illustrations feature cartoon characters with more cheerful and upbeat expressions. However, I decided to step outside my comfort zone for this project and embrace the challenge of conveying deeper emotions through Sonic's design. This experience allowed me to explore new artistic directions and enhance my skills in emotional expression and posing.
