Portrait piece and 2D animation for Lil' Yachty & Whensmokeclears. The brand produces high-fashion jewelry & apparel pieces. They not only share their pieces publicly, but also show customers that they too can wear pieces like "the stars," utilizing functional value in branding. Walter Brady had recently done a photoshoot for the brand, and wanted me to make an illustration that appropriately fit the theme of their visual identity. The illustration's a mixture of everything I believe Lil' Yachty and Whensmokeclears are: autonomy. Lil' Yachty approved of the design shown above. He shared with Walter what he loved about the piece, specifically my choice in colors, the "saturation" of these colors, and how his face was drawn.
