Inspiration, and Work in Progress shots:
Informed by the demographic insights of LA’s club scene—where promotional materials often prioritize chaotic layouts and illegible typography—my work with DJ Sol Forreal’s branding deliberately subverts these norms. Drawing inspiration from Valerie Vescovi’s rhythmic cubism, I crafted posters and motion graphics that balance kinetic energy with structured hierarchy, using gelatin-like textures and neon silhouettes to evoke movement. Through iterative experimentation with AI tools, we dynamically “remix” these visuals, mirroring Sol’s musical approach while maintaining clarity in event details.
The branding amplifies his mission to foster healing through movement, transforming dance floors into spaces of emotional release and connection. His sets—infused with soulful rhythms and Latin grooves—create an immersive experience where audiences shed stress and rediscover joy. This therapeutic intent extends to strategic marketing collaborations, including Caña Rum Bar’s “Happy Hour” promotions and “DJ’s Favorite Drink” features (such as their Cuba Libre or Rum Old Fashioned), which tie Sol’s events to the venue’s vibrant cocktail culture. By aligning his visuals with Caña’s tropical aesthetic and drink specials, the branding positions Sol as both a curator of sound and a catalyst for communal renewal, bridging nightlife energy with restorative purpose.
